Aaron Valentino, President, Island Joe Group LLC
Aaron founded Island Joe in 2008 to provide enterprise class efficiency for small and medium business, local governments, and not-for-profits. He has over 10 years of experience including working with customers on technology requirements for a Fortune 50 telecommunications company, and installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer equipment and networks. Aaron provides both hands-on support to clients and oversees the work of 30 employees and contractors nationwide. Aaron is active in several community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Suburban, and serves on the board of several organizations including Envision Frederick County and the Nicaraguan Cultural Alliance.
Norma Emery, Senior Vice President
With over 30 years of experience in technical writing and documentation management, Norma works with clients to develop high-level requirements documents, use cases, and develop detailed specifications for client systems. An expert in documentation structuring and standards, Norma also sets standards for technical documentation, user guides, and procedures to empower clients to use their systems effectively and efficiently. Norma holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hood College.
Charles Evans, Vice President, Security Consulting
Charles is a United States Army veteran who has served in Iraq and in various overseas assignments. He has held a Top Secret clearance for over 10 years, and has held several posts throughout the Department of Defense including positions at NSA and as head of security at the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center. Charles is fluent and literate in both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University.
Emilee van Norden, Environmental Programs Manager
Emilee supports Island Joe’s green programs, interfacing with vendors, and develops and implements Island Joe’s extensive Green IT environmental program and policies. Emilee has previously worked on green energy programs at Maryland Energy Administration. Emilee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Ken Switzer, Controller
An AIPB Certified Bookkeeper with over 17 years of experience in business operations, Ken oversees accounting and human resources at Island Joe. Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing and is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
